BACK FROM DC! BACK IN ACTION! BACK IN GENERAL!

Well I just got back from a 4 day school trip to WASHINGTON DC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And our bus was the best. GO BUS 3! YEAUHHHHHHH. Sorry, it’s a bus pride thing, you wouldn’t get it. Well, anywho we went to a lot of monuments that I’ve always dreamed about going to. Like where the Preezy of the United Steezys lives A.K.A THE WHITE HOUSE! Of course we just saw it from a fence. If you’d go over that fence then..DUN DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN! Hey well we also saw the Washington monument. We couldn’t go in it of course, because it’s still closed due to that earthquake last year. I got to see it from up close and a distance. We also saw the Lincoln Memorial. It was cool to see the guy who helped defeat the villains in Night At The Museum 2. A true American hero! Let’s see, what else? Um, we saw the FDR memorial. OH BOY! IT’S TIME FOR A JUST ANOTHER TIME WASTING WEBSITE HISTORICAL FUN FACT!

Did you know?

Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) was in a wheelchair, but hid it from the nation by doing his speeches from his desk.

NOW YOU KNOW!

We also went to the MLK memorial. That was cool. OH GOLLY GEE! IT’S TIME ONCE AGAIN FOR A JUST ANOTHER TIME WASTING WEBSITE HISTORICAL FUN FACT.

Did you know?

Martin Luther King (MLK) was really a Republican but most people think that he was a Democrat because of his black skin.

NOW YOU KNOW!

We also went to a monument I’m sure you’ve all heard of, Magill’s Famous Pizza Buffet! I’m not sure if that’s how you spell it or not. I saw tons  of bad reviews online, but I really didn’t think it was that bad! I would suggest that they would add Pepperoni Pizza to their buffet. I was shocked when they didn’t have it. We also went another national monument, The Golden Corral. Okay so that was technically in Maryland but still! Other great monuments included: Pentagon City Mall Food Court, Burger King, General Pickett’s Buffet, and Pizza on the boat. Hey that reminds me, the boat!

Food set aside, we went on a 3 hour boat ride and had Pizza, salad, and cookies! IT WAS EPIC! We also had a dance floor on the boat too. We could dance, chat, and just enjoy the beauties of the water.

We also went to the Vietnam War Memorial. OH GOODNESS! IT’S TIME FOR ANOTHER JUST ANOTHER TIME WASTING WEBSITE HISTORICAL FUN FACT!

Did you know?

The largest item ever left at the Vietnam War Memorial was a motorcycle?

NOW YOU KNOW!

We also went to the National Archives Museum. WOAH! IT’S TIME FOR A JUST ANOTHER TIME WASTING WEBSITE EDUCATIONAL DC WORD CHALLENGE!

Fill in the blank:

DECLARATION OF INDEPENC_

Give up?

The correct answer was DECLARATION OF INDEPENCE.

  Thank you for playing.

And how could I forget this one? The Air And Space Museum. But I didn’t see any exhibits. Now you may be thinking “How’d you go to a museum and not see exhibits?” Or you may also be thinking “WHEN WILL THIS POST END? I NEED TO CATCH MA DAILY DOSE OF SPONGEBOB!!” But square pants aside, to answer your first thought: I went on a flight simulator. IT WAS EPIC…..fail. I couldn’t shoot the target and the driver drove us upside down! Wow. Just wow. And we also went to other Smithsonian Museums, The Museum Of American History, and The Museum Of Natural History.

Well also on our trip, we saw the WWII memorial, the Korean War memorial, USS Marine Memorial, the Holocaust Museum and more.

And now to close this post it’s time for a JUST ANOTHER TIME WASTING WEBSITE WASHINGTON DC SUPER TRIVIA PUZZLE QUESTION!
